Tangerine Heart is the most generous member of the LMR citrus heart range. Where Lemon Heart is sharp and sparkling, Lime Heart is zesty and green, and Orange Heart is warm and marmalade-rich, Tangerine Heart brings something none of them offer: sweetness with genuine floral depth. It opens juicy and bright — ripe tangerine peel, immediately mouthwatering — but underneath there is a soft floralcy, almost neroli-like, that gives it a complexity the other citrus hearts lack.
This is an LMR speciality developed in partnership with IFF Citrasource in Florida. Like all the citrus hearts, it is a concentrated fraction produced by molecular distillation — the terpenic bulk removed, the character amplified, the tenacity extended far beyond what standard tangerine oil can achieve. A few drops in your formula will push that juicy, sparkling citrus character well into the heart of a composition.
Standard tangerine oil shares a species with mandarin — both are Citrus reticulata — but the tangerine cultivar runs sweeter, stronger, and more overtly fruity. The Heart version concentrates those differences further. Use it in fruity florals, gourmand compositions, and summer colognes where you want citrus sweetness rather than citrus sharpness. Pair it with Orange Heart for a rich, layered citrus accord, or combine with neroli and petitgrain for a tangerine blossom effect.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
