Fresh distillation from rhizomes harvested within hours preserves delicate aldehydes while preventing the harsh, turpentine-like notes found in oils from dried material. Madagascar vs Ivory Coast and CO2
Madagascar ginger oil differs significantly from other origins and extraction methods. Ivory Coast ginger oil delivers a more direct, powerfully peppery character with higher α-zingiberene content (23-45%) but lacks the signature floral complexity. It provides bold, invigorating spice but without Madagascar's sophisticated rose-geranium facets. Ginger CO2 extract offers a hyper-realistic, full-spectrum aroma identical to fresh-cut rhizome, containing both volatile aromatics and non-volatile pungent compounds (gingerols and shogaols) that create actual warmth and mild skin irritation. Choose Madagascar steam-distilled oil for sparkling floral elegance, Ivory Coast for sparkling spicy power, or CO2 extract for complete realism with pungent heat.

Like most suppliers and makers of quality raw materials for fragrances, we do not filter many of our products. This ensures that no odiferous matter is lost prior to use but can result in the appearance of small particles or slight clouding.
All alcoholic fragrances should be macerated for up to a month and then chilled in a moderate freezer overnight before being filtered fine. This will remove all cloudiness or detritus and is the industry norm.
